Purdue has switched to Microsoft Office 365 (O365) as Purdue’s primary student email and calendaring service. Please follow the steps below to activate your Office 365 account:
- Go to https://www.purdue.edu/apps/account/Office365Status and login.
- Click on the 'Activate your alias@purdue.edu account' link.

- Choose 'Create a new alias@purdue.edu Office 365 account' if you have never signed up for an Office 365 account with your @purdue.edu email address.

- At the next screen, verify your Purdue Career Account password to complete your Office 365 account setup.

- Your account has been activated.

After activating your account, you are now eligible to start using the suite of applications in Office 365, or using Office 365 email if you are a student, retiree, or student organization.
NOTE: Creating your mailbox in Office 365 can take up to 2 hours. Please be patient while the system builds your account.
- To visit your Office 365 account, go to http://portal.office.com and log in with our Purdue career account credentials.
- To change your Purdue email service to Office 365 email for students, please follow the link presented to go to the ChangeMailbox page or the instructions in How do I change my Purdue email service settings?
- To move your email messages from myMail to Office 365 email, please follow the instructions in How do I move messages from myMail to Office 365 email?
